CHARLOTTE MAY

Three steps to your new smile

YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION

Visit our practice in Dartford or Northfleet, take a tour and meet with our treatment coordinator. They’ll show you some of our before and after images to inspire your own smile makeover and you can browse our amazing patient reviews. We’ll take photos of your teeth and jaw with the iTero scanner and show you what your new smile could look like.

MEET OUR CLINICIAN

Come in and meet our dental clinician, perhaps even on the same day as your initial consultation. We’ll then book you in for your new patient examination, at a cost of £85. This enables your dentist to assess your dental health and discuss your treatment options.

PLAN YOUR NEW SMILE

Once we’ve answered all your questions and you’re happy to go ahead, meet your treatment coordinator again to plan your treatment journey at Parrock Dental and discuss your payment options.

Frequently asked questions about Parrock Dental

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I NEED ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT?
Orthodontic treatment isn’t necessary for everyone, and we will only recommend treatment if we think you can benefit from it. During your initial free consultation at Parrock Dental we’ll discuss your needs and your dental assessment will enable your dentist to make suitable treatment suggestions. Orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign can help not only improve the symmetry of your smile, it can also help with digestion, speech impediments and oral hygiene.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T WEAR MY ALIGNERS PROPERLY?
If you don’t wear your Invisalign aligners for the recommended 22 hours a day it can slow down your treatment progress and push back the smile results you are hoping for. Remember to pop them back in after eating, drinking and brushing your teeth!
DO I HAVE TO WEAR RETAINERS FOLLOWING ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT?
Once your teeth have moved into their new straight position and your treatment is complete, they have to be held in place for a time to let the bone rest. You will need to make sure you wear your retainers properly as instructed by your dentist, or the positioning of your teeth could relapse.
IS INVISALIGN MORE EFFECTIVE THAN TRADITIONAL BRACES?
Invisalign can be just as effective as traditional braces and can be used to treat many dental conditions. The treatment has a high level of accuracy because the results can be predicted from the early planning stage. Just how effective the teeth straightening technique may be for individual cases will depend on a variety of factors and is conditional on patients adhering to the treatment plan, including wearing their clear aligners for at least 22 hours every day.
